Activities at Margalla Institute of Health Sciences

Department of Orthodontics

In the existing crisis situation of Covid-19, Margalla Institute of Health Sciences has
developed a series of online activities for under and postgraduate students. These include
didactic lecturing for the undergraduate students with interactive component to facilitate
adult learning goals.
The postgraduate students at the Department of Orthodontics are undertaking on-line
sessions with Zoom software including Journal Clubs, Case presentations as well as common
core presentations. Research updates are monitored closely. All of this is undertaken in a
systematic manner with weekly schedules.
We at Margalla Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Orthodontics have not limited
these to our own postgraduate students but have also taken on board residents from other
institutes of Pakistan so as to promote collaborative education strategy.
The Principal, Vice Principal and administration are totally supporting the academic
endeavor and are taking constructive feedbacks on weekly basis so as to keep educational
track in line with the directives of the University.
Being responsible citizens of Pakistan in the amidst of this deadly health pandemic, we are
striving to provide relevant clinical guidance to our patient through media which respect the
concepts of social distancing. Our staff is also concurring with the Governmental and
institutional directives.
