Bhitai dental and medical college is a purpose built, fully equipped dental and medical
institution with experienced and excellence driven faculty to train the students to
become great human beings and highly trained professionals, located in Mirpurkhas,
Sindh. BDMC Dental college is affiliated with Liaquat University of Medical Health
Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, Sindh.
The BDMC is owned and operated by the Bhitai Trust, which is the first Dental
college in Mirpurkhas and aims to fulfil the growing demand of the health care services in Mirpukhas and its surroundings, providing quality treatment in the field of dentistryand medicine. The Bhitai Trust started from a BDS course and has extended to a DPT course, the Trust also aims to initiate MBBS, Post-graduation courses in medical/dentalallied sciences and also other educational programs in future. the BDMC dental college offers reasonably priced dental care facilities enabling the society, especially the JAunderprivileged, to live a healthy life through assured oral health.

The BDMC Dental college and hospital is well equipped with all basic facilities for the students as per the PMDC requirements. The college comprises of state of art clinical departments with sufficient number of dental units, phantom skill laboratory, dental laboratory, multipurpose library, ceramic laboratory, a 60 bed medical hospital for
medicine and surgery and a separate sterilisation department.

Our clinical departments include oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, general surgery, general medicine, periodontics, restorative dentistry, oral radiology, oral medicine and diagnostic department. It deals with all major and minor dental procedures including extractions, root canal treatments, fixed appliances, functional appliances, fixed braces, crown and bridge, scaling and polishing, gum treatments, trauma and fracture cases and the treatment of tumours.
Our basic sciences departments include science of dental materials, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry ,oral biology, general and oral pathology, pharmacology and community dentistry. We have an integrated nature of study which means that our basic science teaching is done in relation to the clinical practice and teaching with a
scientific understanding. The basic sciences departments are well equipped with all the possible necessities and have separate in-department museums.
BDS, that is a four year program is affiliated with LUMHS and has a balanced teaching that shifts from theoretical and academic science to practical and clinical experience, where the third and final years are designed to give students an extensive clinical exposure with structured placements for practicing dentistry and allied medicine.
One of our biggest strength is the well qualified and dedicated faculty whose professionalism in teaching and training helps the students excel in their undergraduate journey. Our faculty includes locally and internationally
qualified Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Senior Registrars/Senior Lecturers and Demonstrators, in accordance with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Requirement.
