Poonch Medical College Medical College, Rawalakot,Azad Kashmir is one of the first three public sector medical colleges in Azad State of Jammu and Kashmir. The institution is located in an improvised built campus in Trar Khel,Rawalakot .The College is recognized by PMDC for 100 admissions. First year MBBS classes started on 31st January 2012.College bears a long history of struggle for its creation.The objective of Poonch Medical College Medical College, Rawalakot,Azad Kashmir is to bring brilliance in medical education and service delivery along the lines of the international norms. To fulfill this mission we have formulated an advanced MBBS curriculum as per directions of PM&DC, which will have supplementary facets like Integrated Education, Problem Based Learning and Skill Labs teachings. The institution provides rigorous educational programs for undergraduate, MBBS at present while the Government is planning to launch Dental, Nursing ,Paramedics, Pharmaceutical and Postgraduate studies leading to excellence in their respective specialties. The infrastructure is available for college academic activities, hostels for male and female students with sufficient communal services for the faculty as well as students. A string core of curricular and co-curricular activities is the basis on which undergraduates develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes essential to become good and ethical doctors.
