Fatima Jinnah Medical University was established on 16th June 2015 by up gradation of Fatima Jinnah Medical College for women. FJMU is a premier medical institution with purpose build facilities to teach and train doctors it also impart training to the post graduate students, simultaneously provides healthcare facilities to the citizens of the country particularly in and around Lahore. The rich history of this University can be traced back to 1948.

Many personalities with high repute have passed through this institution and left a mark. I believe that all my dear students have also embarked a mission that will definitely leave a mark of excellence. This institution is my alma matter and I always feel honored to be a graduate of FJMC and I am sure that you all must be feeling proud to be a part of this university. FJMU is unique in the sense that it is only for the female students as far as undergraduate studies are concerned. Our students are a source of pride for us.

Our goal is to produce competent doctors who have knowledge, intellect and integrity. Our intension is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will enable the students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners, prepared to thrive in the progressive world. To achieve this goal I will advise you to keep your mind open towards knowledge of profession on a broader horizon, be prepared to be accountable for everything you do, be prepared to welcome your patients and participate in decisions about their care , be prepared to devote your professional energies not only to your patient s needs but also to unmet health needs of societies as a whole, be prepared to work in limited resources.

We firmly believe in evolutionary procedures in medicine and we are moving forward to achieve the objectives with excellence. FJMU after its establishment has developed quality enhancement cell (QEC), examination department, IT department, Office of ORIC for help of teachers and students to acquire latest scientific knowledge.

It is my humble pray to Almighty Allah that Fatima Jinnah medical University may develop into the finest medical institution and become a beacon of light and hope for the mankind.

I ascertain that under the guidance of Vice Chancellor and joint efforts of faculty of FJMU we aspired to become a distinctive medical sciences institute.
