Description

The University of Gujrat, the Rachna College of Engineering and Technology, Gujranwala, and the Gujranwala Campus of University of the Punjab are fulfilling the needs of local population in terms of Social Sciences, Basic Sciences, Computer Sciences, Commerce and Engineering education. However, medical education, though in high demand, is not available in these institutions. Realizing the inadequate facilities of medical education and quality health services, the Government of the Punjab took a historic step to revolutionize the health care facilities in Gujrat by establishing the Nawaz Sharif Medical College (NSMC) at the University of Gujrat in September 2008.
