(5 Year Degree Program) SAHS offers a five-year full time Doctor of Physical Therapy degree program. The primary aim and objectives are to provide services to individuals and populations to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan. This includes providing services in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease or environmental factors. Functional movement is central to what it means to be healthy. The department is headed by a qualified Rehabilitation Specialist and a dedicated team of physiatrists and physiotherapists. A wide range of patients with different Neuromusculoskeletal disorders are treated here. The Department is fully equipped with a modern and sophisticated Gymnasium, Electrotherapeutic and Hydrotherapy setup. The department not only caters the OPD patients but also provide the indoor services to the admitted patients of all the medical and surgical departments of the Hospital. The department is a learning paradise for the novice professionals of Physiotherapy.
