Pakistan Institute of Medical & Management Sciences (PIMMS), Peshawar is situated at Warsak Road, Peshawar. In the wake of current situation, where societal disease burdens have been raised significantly, hence, it demands for uplifting of the poor health care system through producing legally qualified and professionally competent health care professionals in the field of health Sciences and related Management Sciences. More, there is a need to focus on preventive medicine rather than to wait for increase in disease burden and subsequently treat the affected population.
Hence, PIMMS, with motive in the public interest, on the analogy of recent health policy framed by the government of KP (HRH POLICY, GOVT. OF KP, 2016), will provide its services as an Alma Mater of Health Sciences, that will generate and impart knowledge in the following fields to cater the need of our society:
a. Radiology, physiotherapy, optometry, medical laboratory, pathology. surgical and other related disciplines in the better interests of the nation.
b. Pharmacy education as pharmacies are already there in the hospitals.
c. Medical Technology/ laboratory / health technology/Pharmacy technician “Category B”.
d. Any other related discipline that emerges time to time.
