Description

Allama Iqbal College of Physiotherapy was established by Government of the Punjab in 2007. It is affiliated with University of Health Sciences, Lahore. AICP is part of Allama Iqbal Medical Complex, Shabbier Ahmed Usmani Road, Lahore and attached with Jinnah Hospital Lahore for Practical Clinical Training for its students.
Initially four years B.Sc. (Hon’s) Physiotherapy was started at Allama Iqbal College of Physiotherapy. First batch of B.Sc. (Hon’s) Physiotherapy for the session 2007-11 was inducted in April 2008.Classes were started on 9th , April 2008.
Higher Education Commission standardized Physiotherapy Curriculum in 2011. National Curriculum committee was constituted by HEC. Committee approved five years Doctor of Physiotherapy Curriculum. This approved Curriculum is implemented throughout the Pakistan.
University of Health Sciences adopted this DPT curriculum for its affiliated institutes. Since the AICP is affiliated with UHS same is adopted at AICP.
Five years Doctor of Physiotherapy was granted admission in 2011. Classes started in January 2012.
