Ahmad Medical Institute (AMI) was established in 2016 under the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Ahmad Medical Institute with the aim to produce graduates of Physical Therapy under 5 years degree Program of DPT in Pakistan according to international standards. AMI Rehabilitation Sciences got its affiliation from Khyber Medical University with the mission to produce competent Physical therapist by providing quality education.
Physical therapy or Physiotherapy is a health care profession primarily concerned with the prevention or remediation of impairments and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention. It is a distinct form of care which can be performed either in isolation or in conjunction with other types of medical management. In addition to clinical practice, other activities encompassed in the physical therapy profession include research, education, consultation and administration.
The institute promotes critical thinking and inquiry to foster an environment of research and academic learning. Its programs have been designed to meet the growing demand of the populace in rehabilitating patients suffering from injuries and disabilities. Its graduates are equipped with the skills and aptitude to provide effective care in restoring body functions, improving mobility, relieving pain and contributing towards a better life style for the patients.
